MAKING SENSE OF THE CHAOS Pt. 1: No mana, just cast, cast, cast!
That's right, either one of your CHAMPIONS has a magical rating to cast the spell or they don't. That's it. And if they don't and none of the others in play do either, then I'm sure a modifier is right around the corner ready to give them the +"x" they need to do so. But there will be no building up mana over several turns before you can start casting because with Chaos Front you are cast (ha!) into the thick of combat along with your LEGION right off . In fact, the more you cast, the better your odds of charging the CHAOS ENGINE....and, oh boy, wait'll you find out the joys and horrors of THAT...
In summary:
* There is NO MANA cost to use a a spell.
* Multiple magic-users called CHAMPIONS will be in play simultaneously and have various magical ratings that will determine which spells they can or can't sure.
* CHAMPIONS with a low magical rating will have the chance to improve that rating through the use of MODIFIERS such as enchanted weapons, armor, etc.
* Casting increases the odds of charging the CHAOS ENGINE.....whatever the Hell that means...
